A small rant on lazy people.
Don't you hate it when you see people just sitting there watching other people work their butts off? I know I sure do. Its like they just don't even have the energy to get up off their lazy buttocks and help someone out or earn their stinkin pay. Its super irritating when you're the worker and the other person that is SUPPOSED to be working is just sitting back spectating...and getting paid the SAME thing as you.
Oh how I wish I could find a job where I could just play piano all the time. Accompany, studio, theatre, ballet...I don't care. Just something that would be worth it. I love working with desserts and having chocolate and ice cream up my arms and flour in my hair, but I'm really beginning to despise working here because of what I talked about in the first paragraph; it happens ALL the time. One day I know I'm just going to cry and go hide in the walk-in refrigerator. I'm just SO tired of it. If I could find another job, I know I would quit tomorrow. But...that's not likely to happen, so I'll quit whining.
Just needed to let out some frustration. :D
On a lighter note: I just watched the 1984 movie Amadeus last night and I loved it, although I definitely think that they skewed Mozart's character a lot (of course, they had to if they wanted to make it an entertaining movie). A lot of it was just too surreal, but for a work of fiction about real-life people, it was actually pretty good. If you haven't seen it and have an interest in Mozart and his music whatsoever, you should definitely make the time to watch it. Just don't believe most of it.
Also, on Saturday I'm going to the Asheville Symphony with TJ. They're playing Handel's "Overture to the Royal Fireworks," Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue," and Shostokovich's "Symphony No. 10." The best part is that one of my favorite, favorite, favorite pianists, Di Wu is playing the Gershwin piece. That will be the BEST. This is really the best Christmas present ever; I've never seen a symphony before so this is something that I'll remember for a really long time. I'm so happy about it.
Break time is over.
Love love love,
Abigail

Just a funny little note
SO...Places without a government, listen up! I have a great idea:
Love,
Abigail
To help out, I think the United States should just donate 1 Obama, 1 Pelosi, 1 Reid, 1 Frank, 1 Coakley and 2 Clintons! They may keep them permanently and good riddance! We'd give them a constitution...but ours is sorta missing at the moment.Haha, saw this on a website and loved it. So true.
Love,
Abigail

A book report on today:
So,
I think my job pretty much hates me. I came in today and we were out of hot fudge. Our hot fudge comes in a big can like a soup can that you have to use a can opener on, except 205 million billion trillion times bigger... I have a hard enough time opening it and then when I go to take the top of the can off I slash my finger open. Not fun. Not fun at all.
About an hour later, I'm making a chocolate chip scone for some loser named Andrew Gouge (just kidding). I reach into the oven to check on the scone and I burn my wrist on a ridiculously hot pan.
Then to top it all off, I almost drop a whole pan of rolls on the floor. Ughhhhhh...What a night, what a night.
Anyway, other than all this, I love my job. :D
Now for other news:
School is going GREAT. I love all of my classes so far. I have a lot more free time and almost 4 or 5 hours of practicing everyday!!! I now love music theory...this is a really weird new-found love. It's not normal that's for sure and for some weird reason, in my speech class I'm not nervous anymore. The first speech I did, I improved entirely (because I forgot about it...oops) and it was good (thanks Scotty for making us improv in class). :D
Getting super excited about being able to do a show! I have missed Overlook so bad. One show a year is just so hard to cope with.
I'm so happy and in a good place in my life right now. I feel like everything is going just right. I hope it stays this way for awhile. Life is gooooood.
xoxo,
Abigail

Little Known Facts That Now Ya Know!
Anytime anyone says "Now You Know..." I always follow it with "Mike's Supershort Show"
I learned a lot about science from Imagineer That and Bill Nye the Science Guy.
I get excited about brushing my teeth...especially with my new Caribbean Cool toothpaste. It tastes like Bubblefruit.
If I were a Disney Princess I think that I would be a conglomeration of Giselle and Belle...so maybe "Gibelle" or "Biselle"
I LOVED Frog Princess...it was great. I hope that Disney ventures back towards their classic animation style.
I love Cheesecake.
I require a lot of positive encouragement...otherwise I get disheartened.
I want a real, live, red panda as a pet.
If I were not a piano major, I would probably have been a doctor.
I love playing the Sims 3.
When I get the chance, I'm a book-a-holic. I love reading.
