First day of Junior Year

WOW.  I think I'm going to LOVE this semester.  I'm going to be so busy and it is going to be wonderful.  I love all my classes so far; I love having free time to manage also. 
I've got a great feeling about this year. 

This is going to be short and sweet though...maybe at the end of the week there will be a more detailed blog.

Chubby Bunny

So, last night after the show, a bunch of us went over to Paul's house for a campfire, some hot dog roastin, and some S'more makin; it was an absolute blast!  Especially when Paul introduced us to a little game called chubby bunny.  I had NEVER played it before, but it was seriously one of the funniest games ever! I took some really cute pictures of Rachel, but I think she would probably kill me if I posted them, so I'm going to be nice. 

Rachel also spent the night with me last night, but we were too tired to do anything exciting like watch another independent film. 

Also, I bought Ke$ha's album called Animal.  It's actually pretty good, in a "I love it, but I hate it" sort of way.  I'm a fan of the classic crooners, classical music, and showtunes, but here lately I've had a taste for electronica/dance/techno style music.  I'm not really sure why...when I listen to it, I feel like I'm betraying Frank Sinatra.

Throat Coat

A friend recommended to me an herbal tea called Throat Coat.  This stuff if MAGIC. I'm not normally an herbal tea drinker, but this stuff is goooood.  I don't feel hoarse or scratchy and normally tea is bitter, but this stuff is sweeeet and you can feel it working!  Awesomeness!!!! 

Silly girl

Haha, I just finished reading my old blog from my first or second day of college.  With only a week of summer vacation left before I start the last half of my undergraduate studies, I'm enjoying thinking back on how I felt my first day at WCU.  The little list I made seems quite funny, frightened, and awkward.  It's amazing to think about how far I've really come there, how much I've learned (not only book wise, but about myself), and about how many awesome people I've met. I'm really looking forward to what God has planned for these last two years at Western; whatever it is, I know it's going to be exciting, challenging, revealing, and all out AWESOME, because GOD IS AWESOME! 
------------On another note:
I always want straightforward answers from God about my life, and I don't like waiting for them.  Feeling this way is really teaching me some serious patience and bolstering my faith like crazy.  I'm fully relying on God for everything in my life.  Sometimes this is hard because we want what we want and not always what he has planned for us. 
Proverbs 3:5 has come to me a lot here lately and I also got some really good advice about this and lots of other stuff from someone today; thanks! You're the best! 

Anyway, my cool pillow is calling me!

Caught Unawares

Today is, superstitiously, one of the most ominous days of the year...Friday the 13th.  Up until about five minutes ago, I didn't even realize that it was Friday the 13th.  It was just another day!  Today's been a good day, so maybe since I'm not terribly superstitious, I am immune.

I LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH!!! It's probably the most frequently played song on my iPod along with a ridiculous amount of Michael Buble, Frank Sinatra, and the Four Seasons. 

Just felt like sharing it. 

Salad

I've been eating a lot of salad lately...I mean a lot, a lot, A LOT.  And, let's face it...salad is BORING.  In order to make a salad interesting you have to have lots of tasty toppings on it like carrots, cucumbers, broccoli, cranberries, walnuts, dressing; otherwise it's just a bunch of iceberg lettuce...it's just a big bowl of blanched, boring, watery, nothingness. 

When you think about it, salad is a lot like life.  When your life feels like iceberg lettuce and maybe some carrots, you need to make a visit to the salad bar and pick out some other things to make it a little more interesting, exciting, adventurous. 

Just a random revelation.

What Happens in the Dressing Room

Well...what happens in the dressing room should NEVER stay in the dressing room.  I have a feeling I'm going to get some major payback for this one but.....this video is so hilarious, it's worth it.  Also, I apologize if it's turned sideways, but I can't figure out how to rotate it. :)

As another summer comes to a close

I've decided that the last two weeks of summer, I'm going to get up early and stay out late; I want to have fun and get everything done that I haven't done this summer.  I'm so excited about this goal and hopefully I will be able to achieve it, without getting sick, tired, or injured.  :D 
Tonight Blue Mooooon opens; should be fun, cute, and I'm excited about it! 

Well, off to clean out the inside of my car and then maybe the outside.  Then fun stuff!!!!

Memories

For me, today is a day of reminiscing; I'm starting a show scrapbook and today, I've been trying to find all my old newspaper articles and photographs, and also going through all the pictures on my hard drive.  It's fun to look back at all the fun shows we've done and all the wonderful, funny, great times (including some pretty fantastic paper plate awards, which, by the way, I miss like CRAZY)!  I can't wait to make this scrapbook and keep adding in wonderful memories! I'm so excited about it!  Back to picture hunting!

Let's Hang On

I just purchased the Best of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.  It's 20 of their best songs...and they are really some of their best songs. I'm so excited about it! 

On another note, I'm trying to give God a little more of my faith and letting him exercise his will in my life.  It feels good...I know that he's taking care of me, no matter what.  He is wonderful and awesome; he knows exactly what's best for me and his way is my way, from now on. 

I'm such a blessed girl and I know God has a wonderful plan for my life.

I'm having some issues with "self" here lately...I don't really know what I want or what I like so everyday I'm trying to do a little self-discovery exercise...it's definitely interesting. At this point.....I don't even know what my favorite color is.
