Friday Letters

dear kurt & max schneider, lindsey stirling, and aimee proal:
I love your covers and mash-ups better than the original songs most of the time!
dear Easter egg hunt:
Helping the Easter Bunny hide 18000+ eggs this morning in 23 degree weather was totally worth it when I saw how much fun the kids were having!
dear new dresses:
I wish I could pick between the two of you for this Sunday! Ivory lace vs. blush chiffon...they're both so Easter-y!
dear saturday:
I'm sleeping through party of you, most likely.  Just sayin...
dear JESUS:
Thank you for your death years ago, so that I could live with you for eternity! That's what this weekend is all about!  So thankful!

Throwback Thursday: College Friends

Today I'm joining my lovely friends Jennifer and Julia for Throwback Thursday!!!

Now that I have a little bit of time to write *YAY* I'm going to talk about my wonderful years at WCU with  my little group of best friends.  I miss them more than anything and we all live miles away from each other!

App-WCU game 2012

El Pac after the App WCU game this year

Pre-App Western Game at Julie's House

Me, Brooke, and Carmen all met in piano studio (because we're all super awesome classical pianists) and our piano teacher gave our little threesome several nicknames because we were always together! Andrew's Angels, ABC's, you get the picture...ABC's stuck, by the way. When Julie joined our crew it was ABC + J. Haha...But anyway...The following are snapshots from our wonderful times we had together!

Fall Semester, Senior Year--Football Game

One of many piano recitals; ignore the weird glowy eyes.
(Brooke, Dr. Adams, Me, Carmen and Julie)

Every week we would have what we called "Piano Coffee" time; we would always find time for this, regardless of our busy schedules.  This was usually at Starbucks and we would just sit and talk about everything.  I probably miss this more than anything!

Piano Coffee time outside (2010, I think)

Julie always had the most fun themed parties at her house...this was probably my absolute favorite:

Tacky Christmas Sweater Party 2011...Need I say more?!

If I look at anymore pictures, I'm going to start crying, so I'm just going to say that Brooke and Carmen are getting married within the next year (Carmen in October of this year and Brookie in March of next year), and I get to be in both of their weddings; I am SO excited for that (Bachelorette fun abounds)! They'll obviously be in mine, if I EVER decide to get married, but who knows when that will be!
If you girls read this, I love and miss ya'll and I can't wait to see you sometime this summer!

And okay...one more picture and maybe a cheesy friendship quote...

"I couldn't tell you why we're best friends, because you wouldn't understand. The
explanation is full of too many inside jokes and made up words. It's full of
too much care and too many tears, too many laughs, and too many blonde moments.
I don't think I will ever be able to give you a better reason, except they've
always been there." ~Unknown

OHP: Black and White

Today I'm linking up with Michelle at The Vintage Apple to do an "Oh How Pinteresting" post!  I'm going to showcase a few of my favorite black and white pins!  Pinterest is addicting, so if you haven't discovered it yet, I suggest that you approach it carefully! It will consume you...okay not really, but it is super fun!

On to the pins!

Weekend Shenanigans: Jax Beaches Weekend

Today I'm linking up with Sami at Sami's Shenanigans...it's time for Weekend Shenanigans!!!

This Thursday after work, me and three other friends left for a bachelorette weekend in Jacksonville Beach, FL! What started out as a semi-normal trip (as normal as it can be with four crazy, fun girls) turned into a big adventure really quickly!
After chowing down on some delicious Chic-fil-A in Clayton, several miles down the road we were joking about making a pit stop at the Mall of Georgia in Buford.  Well...then we heard a pop and before we knew what was happening we were spinning out of control and hit a bank on the side of the road.  Bri's tire had blown! We all walked out completely unharmed, but definitely a little super shook up!  It was the most scared I've ever been in my entire life! God was looking out for us!

The sad blown tire.  :(

So after some debate and some vacation determination, we ended up at the mall anyway...waiting almost two hours for the bride's fiance to bring us another car to drive.  We got lots of funny looks hauling all of our luggage into Barnes and Noble and then the movie theatre! Mall sleepover, anyone?

The Imax didn't close until 3 so we waited here forever.

The car finally got there, and after praying really hard and picking up one more girl, we arrived at our hotel at 6:00 am Friday morning and went straight to sleep! We woke up sore and decided to just throw on something cute and comfy and walk down to the beach and explore the little beach town!  The water was a little chilly, but it was definitely beautiful and exactly what I needed!

Friday night our bride got sick, but she was such a trooper the whole time!  Nobody lets a little sickness ruin a fun trip!  Our room had a DVD player in it, so we rented Pitch Perfect and watched it!  I feel sorry for the people rooming beside us, because we were laughing so hard!

Saturday we went shopping at an outdoor mall in the POURING rain! Thank goodness for umbrellas and a huge Forever XXI that kept our attention for a couple of hours!  We really wanted to go out dancing that night, but the clubs we found were either 21 and up (We had a couple of 19-20 year-olds in our group), closed, or sketch-ball, so we stopped at a little beachy dance floor for thirty minutes and then left because it was not happening at all (and yes, I used "happening").

We ate some great food at some really neat places!  Joe's Crab Shack was, by far, my favorite place!  I love the fun atmosphere! We even got to dance on tables and Stephanie got a "Congratulations Dance" from all of the guy waiters at the restaurant!

Be sure to read our bibs!!! Hilarious!

Our fun, beach-boy waiter!

How am I going to explain that I got crabs in Jacksonville to my Fiance?!? Heehee!

We left Sunday morning in the pouring rain and made it safely back home!  Even after everything, it was such a great weekend, and fun was had by all!!!

Weekend Recap!

So, I think I want to get back into blogging...I read all of my friends blogs and they are just SO good and I think to myself "I can do that!" So anyway, I'm going to start putting myself out there and being real and open!  And I'll start by talking about my weekend!

Friday:
I was definitely ready for Friday to get here! It has been the longest three weeks ever!  (I don't know if it's spring fever or what, but working in an office with no windows has been terrible.  I just want to be outside playing).  But anyway, Friday, after work I got my haircut, which is always nice!

Love how my hairdresser fixes my hair! I wish I could do it as well as he does! And this picture is grainy because Google + is taking forever and a day to do instant upload, so I had to take an alternate route! Such a pain!

After I got my hair done, I went to Mi Casa with the boy and afterwards, watched Burt Wonderstone; not the best movie I've seen lately, but also not the worst!

Saturday:
I helped co-host my friend Stephanie's bridal shower! I had no clue what I was doing so I was very thankful for all the help from her fiance's family and other bridesmaids!

This is the happy couple! Aren't they adorable?!

After the wedding shower, my church put on their second annual Life of Christ Easter drive through, which I got talked into participating in.  It went through eight scenes of Jesus' life beginning with the Nativity and ending with the empty tomb.  It was pretty neat, but sitting as Mary, holding a baby doll for an hour and a half was not my ideal Saturday and Sunday.  But, it gave me something to do!

Anissa and I before the drive through started! Love her!

Sunday:
Didn't do very much Sunday and that's the way I like it! I laid in the sunshine for a little while after church, did the Easter drive through again, and watched Rise of the Guardians while eating Totino's pizza rolls (which I now feel guilty about eating)!

And now we come to Monday:

This has been a ridiculously long post, but it has given me a short mental break and my work day is almost finished! Had a great lunch with my best friend! Rachel and I killed a medium pizza...it was a veggie and we didn't eat the crust...I keep on telling myself that to make me feel better about eating four slices.  Ughhh.
I have rehearsal tonight and I am excited about it! Annie Get Your Gun is going to be such a fun show! Everyone should come see it!

xoxo,
Abigail
